As a fully degreed and certified personal trainer, Tom Dvoratchek has been providing in-home fitness training to the Northshore--from Lake Forest to Wilmette--for over 25 years. He uses proven, science-based Senior Fitness methodologies in order to ensure his many mature clients achieve their optimal well-being and continue being able to do what they love.

Tom has extensive experience in working in post-rehab situations such as hip replacements; knee injuries and replacements; "bad" backs; as well as shoulder and foot injuries. In addition, he has worked with aging clients--ranging from their 50s to 90s--with Parkinson's, ALS, diabetes, and dementia, as well as those using wheelchairs, walkers, and canes.

Tom specializes in working with mature clients in all stages of life, ranging from those who are very active to those who are slowing down yet looking to lessen the effects of aging and continue keeping their independence.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

Each client's needs are unique depending on his/her life stage and desired level of fitness, so  Tom begins with a detailed interview and an assessment before building a tailored program designed to increase YOUR quality of life while decreasing the possibility of injuries. Your specific fitness regiment may include exercises to improve: balance and posture; strength and agility; range of motion and flexibility; endurance; joint or muscle pain levels; or functional movement abilities. 

Regardless of the specific focus of each 60-min session, each workout is well-rounded and encompasses a full-body training. Depending on your schedule, sessions can be scheduled 1 to 3 times a week.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

Tom brings the gym to YOU so that you may workout in the comfort of your own home. All the necessary equipment is provided... all you need is a positive attitude, comfortable clothes, a sturdy chair, and some floor space! He will bring a therapy-type table, if needed, along with weights and tubes. If you already have a home gym or equipment at home, he can utilize your own setup to maximize your workout.

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?

  • In-home & studio  personal training session with all necessary equipment provided is $80/hr.

  • Each additional person is $10/hr (cap of 1 additional people for a total of 2 people).

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

In order to keep services affordable and accessible to all clients, there is a 24hr cancellation policy in place. While it is important for both the client and the trainer to remain flexible and account for such occurances as illnesses or inclment weather, session cancellations within the 24hr window for any other reason will result in a charge for that session. 

Rescheduling within the same day or even the same week cannot be guaranteed, but is always seriously attempted for cancellations with more than 24hr notice. 

Repeatedly cancelling and/or rescheduling at the last minute can diminish your progress and erode the consistency and momentum that's necessary for reaching your fitness goals.
